Junior Software Project Manager

Location: San Francisco Bay Area

We are a rapidly expanding company with a dynamic and collaborative culture. We seek a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to join our Product Development team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the successful execution of product initiatives by providing project management support and ensuring seamless coordination across internal teams.


Responsibilities

Project Coordination:

  • Manage the day-to-day logistics of product development projects, including scheduling meetings, tracking deadlines, and managing project documentation.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication and decision-making.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables.


Agile Methodology:

  • Support the implementation and adherence to Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Assist in sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
  • Manage project backlogs and ensure timely completion of sprint goals.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Track project progress and generate reports on key metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts).
  • Analyze project data to identify areas for improvement and optimize project workflows.


Process Improvement:

  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, design, marketing) to ensure smooth project execution.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, with a strong preference for experience within a product development environment.
  • Proven experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Jira project management software.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
