  • Are you interested in building a great platform to directly impact the hiring problems in Silicon Valley? Do you want to help the most innovative companies grow? Riviera Partners technology team is the place if you are passionate about solving complicated real-world problems. This role will contribute to the advancement of Riviera business and product initiatives working with partner teams.
  • This role will work closely with data science and engineering team, design and implement architectures to allow rapid production cycles of algorithms, models and systems for improving document tagging, feature extraction, predictive models on matching between jobs and candidates, and optimization in the overall platform. The Architect will design and implement the workflow and data processing architecture we use to run a diverse set of functions. Data is organized and refined iteratively throughout the process and connected to reference data across the workflow and data providers. The data store supports training our statistical models, with those models often populating data back into storage. Our web interfaces need to support highly interactive viewing and slicing of the original and predicted data. We want this architect to design, update applications, and lead teams to continue expanding technology platform.
  • Develop the technical vision, lead architecture and development of the core platform.
  • Design systems that solve the complex workflow related function, data collection and data representation.
  • Work closely with business partners, product managers and other key stakeholders to distill business problems into elegant technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement best practices, lead and mentor team members
  • Build and launch products rapidly and incrementally.


  • Strong data and application engineering/infrastructure experience. Fluent in Ruby, Python and web application architecture.
  • Experience with multiple structured and unstructured data sources (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Postgres, s3, Redshift, etc.)
  • Has worked with distributed data systems to build pipelines, messaging layers, and ingestion tools.
  • Has managed or lead and mentored junior developers in a technical capacity.
  • Plus, Early stage startup experience
