Michael A. Morell
Michael is a Founding and Managing Partner of Riviera who brings with him 15 years of experience in recruiting, technology sales and management. Michael focuses exclusively on recruiting Executive Level talent in the area of Engineering and Product Management. He also has operational responsibility for Riviera’s fast growing Contingency Practice, which focuses on individual contributor level roles within engineering organizations
Prior to founding Riviera Partners, Michael spent 4 years as a Officer in the Air Force where he held several Software Project Manager and Program Manager roles. He worked on a number of NASA research missions and while with the GPS Program Office, he was responsible for the development of the Department ofDefense’s first joint service software simulation tool used to determine GPS navigation and its impact upon combat effectiveness. Michael was recognized for his efforts and has been published by the Military Operations Research Society.
Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from The Ohio State University and later earned his Masters in Information Systems from USC. After graduation, Michael began his sales career working for Altera, LSI Logic and Lucent.
He and his wife, Dina, and their son Cesare Antonio reside in Noe Valley, San Francisco, CA. Michael is a Pilot, enjoys Fly-fishing, Cycling, Rugby, Formula One and College football.
